The Peace Gardens take their name from Neville Chamberlain's declaration of "peace in our time" in 1938. Redeveloped in 1998 as part of the Heart of the City project, the site is now a mix of water features, seating areas, lawns and planting. The imposing Town Hall stands behind the Goodwin fountain, shown above, and the glass arches of the Winter Gardens can be seen to the right. This summer scene was recorded from the centre of the gardens in June 2003.

Supplying the city of Sheffield with its water supply, Ladybower Reservoir is a picturesque scene all year round. Construction of the dam began in 1935 and was completed in 1943; the following 2 years saw the flooding of the villages of Derwent and Ashopton to fill the reservoir. This was famously the location used in the filming of the 1954 classic "The Dam Busters", telling the story of Dr. Barnes Wallis and his team as they tested the bouncing bomb. We shot this 360° panoramic movie on a bright and crisp day in February 2003.
